Andreas von Huene

Andreas Von Huene grew up in Boston's atmosphere of artists, musical instrument makers, and museums. As a field engineer overseas, he became accustomed to large industrial projects while familiarizing himself with the art forms of exotic cultures. Later he designed and built intricate landscapes, which broadened his imagination and his skill at working in a large scale. Recently his commissions for public art have relied on his sense of service combined with his artistic, administrative, and technical talents. Von Huene's studio explorations reflect his respect for subject, playfulness with material, and delight in detail
